 Is this a representative? - by @lbert
  Posted:28/10/2005 - 18:52 - in category: politics Malaysia
I wonder is BAD-RUDE-DIN Amirudin a representative of the people in my area (jerai)?
If so i really wonder how such an idiot can be voted into parliament.
This unlettered unsofisticated stupid person should be sacked as a representative, unless he wants to represent a garbish can.
I have seen and heard no ruder person than this idiot. Pak Lah remove him from ofiice!
Even Nazri cant beat him

Ramadan Indonesian style.... - by @lbert
  Posted:18/10/2005 - 16:45 - in category: general
I am in Indonesia at the moment, and i must say i find the difference between Indonesian and Malaysian way of having Ramadan striking.
First of all allmost every warung kopi / foodstall is open , unlike Malaysia where they simply close for a month irrespective of the fact you have non-islam customers. (with exception of some indian foodstalls)
During day time they cover up the stall with a cloth. But if you peek inside i am surprised how many 'non-muslim' citizens Indonesia had. But of course there is no KGB in indonesia, so no one is arrested.
But than, here no one really cares whether someone eats during puasa. Thats a problem between you and God they say. And i personally think thats the right thinking.

Super ugley Malaysians.... - by @lbert
  Posted:13/10/2005 - 15:57 - in category: general
I saw i picture where they opened a donation box of 'Befrienders Malaysia'.
What came out? MacDonald papers icecream paper and other shit but hardly any money.
Befrienders is a non racial, non religious organisation, reaching out to people with problems.
This attitude of throwing rubish in a donation box i find super-sick. Wawasan 2020? Yak a mindset of 1010, to terrible for words!

MAS new management, old tricks - by @lbert
  Posted:07/10/2005 - 11:54 - in category: general
Since almost 2 month i was trying to get a supersaver ticket from KL to Penang on 26 Oktober.
Every time i checked ... not available .. for all dates 21-26++ Funny. I asked my travel agent she said may be not yet allocated.
This went on till i got really pissed and called up MAS, what do they tell me? All supersavers have been taken sir, by whome i asked, that i dont know.
But how can they be taken if they were never offered at all? Than the phone went silent.
Yes of course a bunch of datuks and datins and maybe MAS staff took up the tickets, so the common public never stands a chance.
NOT TRUE you say? Well try to get a super saver on MAS around 26 January next year...same trick.
Betul Mana Ada System.

 Moderation?? - by @lbert
  Posted:06/10/2005 - 13:14 - in category: general
When i first came to Malaysia i loved to go to the pasar berbuka pusa. This because some local kampung people would show off some simple cooking, and it was very reasonable priced, and gordious.
Now? Its a commercial circus, where the small people dont stand a chance. Some sellers have 3-4 'cabang' and than the prices......crazy. Still people buy like idiots and bag after bag is dragged back into the car. I really wonder what happended to the moderation in Ramadan, what i see is just something like 'i have been suffering all day, now i need my compensation, hantam lah....'
Even the admosphere on the pasar is no longer what it used to be, all is greed for money and more money.
Luckily Yan besar is to small for the commercial boys, so here still some locals sell their cooking.

 Hero's of Islam - by @lbert
  Posted:04/10/2005 - 12:49 - in category: general
2 or 3 idots with a backpack full of explosives blew themselves up in packed places.
These people call themselves hero's of Islam.
Well they manage to give Islam the name as the most intollerant religion in the world.
And what does the Islamic world itself do?
Zip, zero nothing. They even do not accept any criticism. Thats how tollereant they are.
This rot will only be solved if the Islamic world spits out these people and the once in the background, as pariah's. Mullah's who condone this kind of sueside action should be punished or spit out as well.
Indonesia also should not tollerate all these religious fanatics, and simply do nothing. (church blockade in Bandung)
Malaysia should keep a clear watch as well! afterall the 2 big names behind Bali bombings are MALAYSIAN!
The goverment should finally stop trying to outdo PAS is being more Islamic, this is a very dangerous slippery path.
Also because of the the increasing actions by mouth/word against more moderate Muslims
Anyone who thinks the suecide bombers are hero's should have their brain cells inspected (if any) + read this: Saturday 24 september on this site

How's the budget to you? - by @lbert
  Posted:01/10/2005 - 11:08 - in category: politics Malaysia
You have read seen and heard all the comments? Well most comments i found totally useless, all afraid to critizise anything yak.
And what was not in the budget?
1. a solution to the ever increasing toll rates (dismanteling Plus)
2. Not a word about the whole AP scandal.
3. Not a word aboud the fact that roughly 75% of working class is evading tax.
4. It being rediculous that a bottle of cheap wine costs now around 50- (Would probably cost 2 euro in europe)
No differentiation between hard / soft liquer.
5. No measures to curb the use of 4 wheels drives. Space/petrol wasting monsters.
6. No proper initiative to create innovation.
7. The environment is even a bigger looser, no word at all on real enforcement of laws.
8. No word about corruption and misuse of funds.

All in all not really a thing where i would say GOSH....
A goverment that still has a negative budget, but gives millions as a bonus to its workers, can you do that when you run a business?
