 Stupid questions...... - by @lbert
  Posted:29/03/2006 - 23:53 - in category: general
When you want to register online for StreamyX you get one question: Religion.
What the fuc# has religion to do with an application for an internet connection......
This country is getting more crazy by the day.
Only takes a while than when you want a monthly card for public transport, they also want that, and for road tax and for touch and go and you name it.
Telekom Malaysia........idiots!

 Racial integration. - by @lbert
  Posted:27/03/2006 - 18:07 - in category: general
I am getting fed up by interviews and news paper articles, claiming Malaisia is so harmonious, and well integrated.
The biggest rubbish if have heard of, in the past 15 years racial integration has gone down the drain totally.
In the olden days you could see the chinese coffeeshop where older malays, chinese and indians were chatting away.
Find that nowadays... yes they go to the coffeeshop, but a malay to a malay coffee shop, indian to an indian and a chinese to its kopi tiam.
Schools are segregated according to racial lines, universities, you name it.
Progress made over the years minus 50%.
The main reason? A goverment run by Malays for Malays. Chinese can talk but thats all, they give a shit about whatever they say.
Opposition is just stupid and not qualified in commenting, and is totally neglected. People like Krishamuddin Hussain, Zam Noh and a few others are at present the main course of detoriation.
After so many years NEP the thing is bankrupt, afterall who hold the keys in economy? Who pay the most taxes.....you guess.

Perodua or Proton - by @lbert
  Posted:23/03/2006 - 23:01 - in category: general
I was going over the website of Perodua, and was thinking.......well they are not really cheap either.
But than i hear always mountains of complaints about Proton like power windows and other things, but about Perodua you hardly hear anything as far as complaining is concerned. Are they so much better?
I am far from a car expert, so i have no idea.
Are there people out there who can enlighten me?

Dr Zetti again - by @lbert
  Posted:23/03/2006 - 11:17 - in category: politics Malaysia
Among Bank Negaras forecast in its annual report released Wednesday are:

Economic growth projected at 6%

Inflation expected to rise by between 3.5% and 4% as a result of higher oil prices.

So than what the heck we doin with a fu$$ing fixed deposit rate of 3%? And for non-citizens you even get screwed more... 2.6%
This is higway robbery. If inflation is 4-5% (last year was 5%++) than a fixed deposit rate should be at at least 1% above the inflation rate (in a normal country) but in Malayasia semuanya ok. Well Dr Zetti will find out when the bubble bursts.

Growth projected a 6% deduct 4% inflation, than what is left? Sick all figure fucking!

 Bandwidth eaters... - by @lbert
  Posted:22/03/2006 - 19:18 - in category: general
I noticed recently that the bandwidth / hits by robots went totally crazy.
After checking i found that the main culprit is Yahoo which keeps on firing request.
This month alone i had over 4300 hits by Yahoo, that is 4 times Google and 2 times MSN.
So i now have decided to ban Yahoo search robot from my site totally.
Hope things can return to normal figures, after referer spammer attacks and others.
Bandwidth is already scarce enough in Malaysia, especially in connections to US and Europe and from the above, the speed is sometimes worse than a dialup connection.
TM StreamyX rakes millions a month but investing in proper fast enough lines, forget it!
Shareholders (malaysia inc) first.

Are they nuts or not?? - by @lbert
  Posted:22/03/2006 - 17:05 - in category: politics Malaysia
Malaysian policewomen are being required to wear headscarves for all official functions, a police spokesperson said today.

BUT Not required during normal duties
AND No action against those who don't comply

Than what is the use of the stupid directive?
And non-muslim woman?
It seems they just want to push on whith the ideas of an Islamic State, opposition or not

 Vulgur alert... - by @lbert
  Posted:20/03/2006 - 12:06 - in category: politics Malaysia
The government created a trustfund of 4.4 b., and yes the first vulgurs are already descending with all kinds of 'super' offers to the pm in resolving public transport woos.
One is notably a majority shareholding of the PMs son.
Melakka already stated they want to make a monorail (they must be crazy, they dont have enough inhabitants for a proper bus service)
Penang still wants its POR and monorail, and than to think that out of every RM 1 given to those people hardly 40 sen will make it to the rakyat. And this 4.4 billion comes back every year.
Kick ass all those suckers, create a real comitty not linked to the goverment that should give a masterplan in how to create a transportation system. How you should not do it, you can see in dr M's impian of public transport in KL.

 Unparlementarian.... - by @lbert
  Posted:17/03/2006 - 10:08 - in category: politics Malaysia
Malaysia's parlementarian for Jerai (next to Yan)
Badruddin Amiruldin has the worst record of being a MP.
This person is not a parlementarian, he is constantly unparlementarian.
Why dont they remove people like this?

He once referred to the Malaysian Indians as "keling".
He also called opposition leader Lim Kit Siang the damned, bloody stupid old man! and last but not least his famous quote: tak-suka-Malaysia-boleh-keluar (if you dont like Malaysia, get out of it!)
Now he told an other parlementatian (Chong) she was nothing more than an "ular sawar".(python)
He also told Lim Kit Siang, Lim had "otak binatang" (animal brain).

Third World Mentality, probably someone has be shaking a pokok nyok, this Badruddin fell out and was made an MP!
Malaysia Boleh!
Wikipedia has a whole list of Badruddin's misconduct, you find it here.

 Religion thoughts... - by @lbert
  Posted:17/03/2006 - 09:55 - in category: religion
I was given a newspaper clipping, which stated that a person went to the siyariah court in order to officially renounce Islam.
He mentioned that he already more than 50 years did not practice Islam, married a chinese women and brought up his children according to budhist believe. He wanted to avoid problems upon his death.
Well lets see whether he succeeds.
Fact remains that at least 95%+ of people do get borne into a religion.
If your parents were Catholic, probably you are, your parents were Islam, you are.
Since all these religion more or less all state the same:
Once you embrace the religion you should not leave it lateron.
But that is mostly the end of the story.
Even the Islam's holy book nowhere states that you are not allowed to leave Islam.
The problem always is that those who want to renounce their religion mostly NEVER embraced the religion, but were born into it.
Forced conversion exists is Islam but also in the old Catholic thinking, although the same goes, it is nowhere written that it should be done.
In comparison reformed really dont care whether there is conversion or not.
Problem is and remains to much emphasis is always put on the interpretation of humans of certain additions to the holy books.
Hadith, New Testimony and so on.
Another problem is that the Koran was written in Arab, which is a living language.
The bible in comparison is mostly in Latin a dead language. Lots of budhist scriptures also in dead languages.
A living language means the the language evolves, words change meaning or sometimes have a whole new meaning.
A word can change from common to something dirty. A dead language does not evolve anymore, but remains as it is.
So a dead language is a lot easier to translate than an old manuscript in a living one.
How do you know the meaning of certain words 1000 years ago?
For this to interpret you would need a lot of other manuscripts from the same era in order to make comparisons and hope you can find the meaning and weight of certain words and expression.
An almost impossible task, because how many manuscripts are there that go back 1000++ years?
Having said this i think there is no holy book you can take literally, because what is literally.
Latin is a dead language, noone actually even knows how it was pronounced (no cd's or tapes)
Hebrew and Arab have evolved and evolved and evolved.
Here in Malaysia the Arab they learn in school is good maybe for reading, but if they try to speak it to an Arab, the Arab probably does not understand a word.
All because emphasis is on reading, not understanding in a way that you can make up your own mind.
I noticed here and in Indonesia, to many can 'read' the holy book, but absolutetly dont know what they are reading.
And in orthodox Catholisism the still use Latin, but who speaks/understands it?
Well i better stop before i get the whole world over me, it was just some thoughts i wanted to share.

Dr M and the fuel price hike... - by @lbert
  Posted:16/03/2006 - 10:48 - in category: politics Malaysia
Dr M stated the the fuel price hike would have not been necessary if BN would have let the ringgit strengthen.
ROFL...this from the mouth of the person who refused for years to remove the peg!
Yes true if the Ringgit would have strengthened the fuel hike was unneeded, also inflation would not have been at a 10%+ level.
But this government is protecting all the cronies, GLC's, so they give a shit about you and me.
Tenaga is sitting on billions of debt, Perwaja is bankrubt, Proton looses like hell, MAS is bankrupt, well there are plenty more, they are kept alive with a low ringgit, a raise of 15-20% in ringgit value would kill them off instantly. (that would be a nice cleanup...)
Umno rather sees you and me take the brunt, because they do no want any of their UMNO companies to lose out.
Yes as i said before, politics in Malaysia stink more than the polluting public transport in Penang,

Malaysia sends clowns into space... - by @lbert
  Posted:15/03/2006 - 19:08 - in category: politics Malaysia
Wow...Malaysia is giving some people training in Russia in order to have a flight into orbit.
This country does not even have a proper transport system, do we need malaysian clown circling the earth??
Don't mention the cost... how many millions are wasted this time? Please note that Perwaja (GLC) does not even have the money to pay Tenaga. Local governments don't pay Tenaga, so called developed states cannot even control a rubbish dump or heavy rain, but Malaysia needs clowns in space.........SICK!

 Dr M's inheritance - by @lbert
  Posted:14/03/2006 - 13:22 - in category: politics Malaysia
The government is sqeezed.... yes they are because Dr M's legacy is starting to hurt real bad. Billions and billions wasted on all kinds of prestigeous projects will now have their 'pay back time'.
Transparency has always one of the bad things in any government linked company. They actually refuse to show anything.
Look at Petroleam Nasional, they tell you how much they made the previous year, but where the money went?? No where to find.
Of course billions of Petronas money went into Putra Jaya Inc, and Twin Towers Inc, and name a few others, but Petronas is making so much that one wonders what has happened to the accumulated wealth of billions and billions over the years. All squandered on stupid projects like Cyber Jaya and the likes?
One can only wonder. Any question in the Dewan has been unanswered.
Now TNB is not allowed to raise the tariffs, this is outrageous, for TNB any raise in gas/oil is killing, they already sit on billions of debts, but they cannot raise prices, because Pak Lah & Co does not like it.
Taxi's / busses cannot raise prices, except for KL have you ever looked at the state of public 'transport' in Malaysia? Old ramshackle busses that fume a healthy person to death.
Why cant they raise prices and finally get new busses instead of the stinking monsters? Because the government wants to keep inflation target?
Well all and everything already went up by at least 10% or more since last year, and mind you petrol doubled!!
If a proper public transport is wanted, it should have its price tag, and should NOT be run by crony companies who are only after a fast buck and than say they are insolvent, so the government can buy back.
Politics in Malaysia stink more than the polluting busses that drive you and me around, and it is high time Malaysians start using their brains if they vote for the next government (read circus) in charge

Advice to Koh Tsu Kun - by @lbert
  Posted:12/03/2006 - 19:18 - in category: Penang
I would advice Ko Tsu Kun to take public transport in Penang for 1 month, and no car with driver.
I think he will be admitted to Tj Rambutan after one month.
Penang for sure has it: The worst public transport in the WORLD!!
Even a place like Jakarta is 10 times better.
Penang buses are antiquated, they stink and fume like hell, any other car would get a summon. They have no schedule, and drive at will, they change route as they please, and nobody controls them.
Same for Penang taxi's, already years ago they were forced to install meters, but until now they refuse to use them, reporting them does not help, police does nothing, some not even willing to take a report. Long live wawasan 2020........

Highland Towers Penang - by @lbert
  Posted:09/03/2006 - 14:21 - in category: Penang
The development in Penang between Tg Bunga and Batu Feringgi is scaring, not to say more than scaring.
They are digging and totally cleared slopes of 60 degrees and steeper in order to create new 'development' (read money).
These slopes are asking for problems when the raining season starts again. I thought that there was a ban on this kind of constructions since the highland towers drama in KL, but it seems no one learned anything again and Penang is not KL, no rules for Koh Tsu Kun and his clique. Do we have to sit and wait for the next drama to happen? Is there anybody controlling these adventures, or are they all in the pockets of developers?

Iran makes me sick - by @lbert
  Posted:03/03/2006 - 19:13 - in category: travel abroad
I dont know what the Iranian president is looking for in Malaysia, but i think that he better should have stayed where he came from, his stone age undeveloped country with ridiculous laws.......
Want a sample? Well her is one from January

2006/01/08

Nazanin, 17, was sentenced to death by hanging for defending herself against three rapists.

A young girl who defended herself and her chastity against three male assailants who intended to kidnap and rape her causing injury to one of them who later died in hospital was condemned to death by hanging in an Islamic court in Iran. Nazanin who has seen no more than 17 Springs, all of which under the tyrannical rule of the Mullahs is now facing execution for trying to defend herself and her honor.

Nice country huh......can't we move all those Malaysian taliban there?

 NoNo Digi... - by @lbert
  Posted:03/03/2006 - 16:44 - in category: general
Digi does not get its 3G license.
Who get the 2 up for grab? TTdotCom and MiTV, both dont have a network at all, they just sell air, but are 'related'.
These forms of cronyism in Malaysia really make you sick!
Do they want foreign investors when this kind of action is expected, dont make me laugh.
I weep for Malaysia

 Najibs explanation - by @lbert
  Posted:02/03/2006 - 13:12 - in category: politics Malaysia
Najibs explanation on the reasoning for the fuel hike is crap in one word.
People have to adjust their lifestyle.....
Well let we start with all the multimillionaire ministers to change their life style, out with the Volvo's, BMW's and fat Mercedeces.
But them it does not hurt at all, the rich dont have to change their lifestyle, they got plenty of everything in bolehland.
No it is the lower income and poor, they have no lifestyle to change when all prices jump again. They hardly can afford a motorbike! Think about that Najib before making no sense
statements.
Hawkers already raise prices with 30-50 sen (because raise of gas they say), also with a crap argument, sell 15 meals and they already recover the increase, so 5 sen increase would be the maximum i think.
But the unlimited race for more money has already started. THANKS NAJIB!
What this country needs is real public transport, not something run with 50+ year old busses (like Penang), a super tax on petrol gulping cars like 3 liters Mercs, 4 wheel drivers and other asocial monsters like Unser and the likes. They take up the space of 2 Kancil!
Give them a 10 fold road-tax than maybe the rich will feel the pain, or raise taxes on those vehicles to a level that they are unaffordable (RM 1 million or so). Wow that will clean up roads.......

Start jacking up....... - by @lbert
  Posted:01/03/2006 - 11:50 - in category: general
The petrol price went up again. I will not comment on the silly arguments the government used, because Malaysia is a net producer of oil, so all arguments FAIL!
But we will see another round of uncontrolled price hikes. It seems that if petrol goes up 20% everything has to go up by 25%, that is Malaysian greed.
I have already seen a supermarket that has the guts to sell a 1.5 liter bottle of coke for 3.20!
Mind you Malaysia is already THE most expensive country in Asia as far as cost of living is concerned.
Prices of daily needs as vegy, dairy, poultry, meat and so on are extreme if compared to surrounding countries. Even Singapore is bloody cheap (if you earn in Sing $).
But in bolehland everything goes up, the government controls things by mouth, but never does anything than talk and talk. Traders are warned, but never anyone is really bankrupted by taking him to court and fine a million or so. You would expect that the biggest government in the world (as far as ministers is concerned) should be effective, but the opposite seems true.
I pity the low income and the poor, they are the one who suffer again in bolehland!
