On the move..... - by @lbert
  Posted:07/10/2004 - 22:48 - in category: general
I will be in Indonesia for a few weeks.
Some work gotta be done. Also want to hear about their new president.
After work i am going to relax a week in Samosir (Lake Toba).
This is a great, cheap and relaxed spot. Right now very few tourists. Great!
But no internet (i think they have in Prapat at a ridiculous fee)
See you........

 My question.... - by @lbert
  Posted:06/10/2004 - 09:28 - in category: internet / computers
The fuzz about commenter Anwar on Jeff Ooi's Weblog continues.
Now Mimos has been directed to investigate the source.
This is all a big laugh. Malaysia is turning itself into another joke.
Just like the matrass in court during Anwar's court case.
First of all Kalimullah Hassan and his crew hijacked this posting as a proof of their inability to attract more readers to their unbelievable unreadable newspapers.
They want scapegoats for their own stupidity.
Secondly they even cannot read and report half-truth.
As people get more educated and now there is access to uncolored news, so its bye bye NST.
Face it or sink with the ship.

Furthermore, according to all comments i read:
Islam is pure, strong and self explaining, if it is all this, is it so weak it cannot withstand some kicking and spitting?
Look in Europe where Catholisim and Reformists have been on each others throat for centuries!
They all are still there....have faith in your faith...
As i said before, the Internet is a public place where everybody can speak out.
Some you might like some you might not, well dont read them anymore!
But sometimes reading even the most negative comments might reveal why certain people are so scared/sick you name it, to give these comments.
So in other words you might even learn from them.

Reacting to everything that kicks against the establishment is a typical Malaysian habit.
PAS says something and the whole country is upside down.
They never learn that antipropaganda is the best propaganda you can get!
Or does this country want to end up like our former PM with only friends in Cuba and Zimbabwe?

Screwing has started..... - by @lbert

Diesel went up by 5 sen a liter.
This is a motivation to raise whatever you can imagine.
Plastic bags (yes plastic bags) went up 20%+
Milk in tin 10%.
You name it and it went up, and of course chicken to a ridiculous price of RM 6-.
How can countries like Indonesia and Thailand are so much cheaper?
Are we going to see any law enforcement on profitering? I bet nothing will happen as usual, it is all empty words also as usual.
But meanwhile inflation will reach a staggering 10%+ (and BNM will say its only 1.5%)
Everything is possible, thats why its called boleh-land.

Utusan sicker than sick - by @lbert
  Posted:05/10/2004 - 11:51 - in category: politics Malaysia
this morning they write:
Utusan 5 oct

Read these lines:

Even Pak Lah lets himself being sucked into an unmotivated bashing 'arranged' for by Kalimullah + crew.
I thought he would be smarter.......
Probably he has not even read the item itself!

 Congratulations...... - by @lbert

Yes congratulations to Jeff Ooi, his weblog made it to TV1 news at 6 today.
This proves they are running scared of free speech on the net.
Keep up the good work Jeff.

 Bootlickers (2) - by @lbert
  Posted:03/10/2004 - 18:16 - in category: general
I read the controversy between blogger Jeff Ooi and Berita Harian (NST) and NST itself.
Jalan Riong has shown to be unreliable goverment bootlickers time after time.
When i came to malaysia many years ago i used to read it, but since than NST papers go on the toilet. And the new format makes them even more handy up there.
They are not worth reading anymore. Everything is twisted, up to the economic reviews.
Jeff Ooi has done his upmost to prevent bashing in the comments.
So now everybody has to register with an official email address first.
Than if someone comes through with comments which goes 'a bit to far' i only can say what is to far.
And its like the on/off knob on a tv, ignore it (switch it off).
If you react to it the writer has the fun of knowing he stirred up something.
But over some time i noticed that many Malaysians are unable to convers in normal mode in a discussion.
Especially on the net some think they can have their bashing all the way.
These people should be ignored, they are immature!
But what does the deputy PM wants? Control all the anti malaysia bashing in the world?
Dont make me laugh......no way they ever can.

Back to Jalan Riong, Kalimullah the editor should have known better.
First of all access to Jeff Ooi's blog is banned in the NST premises, so how can Kalimulah + rakan2 read it?
Secondly if they would have read carefully, but they obviously cant or did not, they should have seen the warning Jeff gave the poster.
Thirdly taking resort in asking a comment from a slippery person like Khairy is the limit!
Is this the objectivity Jalan Riong says they present? They only want to divert the eyes from their own sinking ship.
It is only one thing BOOTLICKING and preventing a free press to emerge by every means they can find.
They are simply trying to defend their fortress in a already lost battle. We should pitty them!
Umno has in their last elections clearly show that Power Corrupts, hence they will be creating their own implosion.
This clique has been in power for to long and has forgotten the meaning of serving the people.
It has become serving themselves, and than the party.
Parties like Umno and MCA, MIC are commercial conglomerates that make millions a year from their commercial linkages.
How can they otherwise finance election costs that are xxx million. Or do they all resort to bogus companies that can go bust after the electiona. So all if free?
And to Kalimullah, do your homework sir, otherwise just sink with the ship!
Nah...no need, just sink!
