 Obtaining justice.... - by @lbert
  Posted:28/02/2005 - 16:06 - in category: general
Where is the justice...
It appears that the endemic delays, postponements of court case are a hindrance to justice.
It is totally beyond control of everybody now.
Any lawyer can tell you that even the most simple case cantake up to 5 years.
This is ridiculous, the courts should be made accountable for the delays.
If necessairy, lawyers suspended and judges sacked! Judges simply go to meetings and so on and delay cases. Lawyers report sick only to delay cases and so on.
There should come a time frame in place for cases.
How can a simple case that anywhere in Europe can be solved in a month, in Malaysia take 3-4 years?
Is this not denial of justice, and to my opinion the goverment as the ultimate boss can be held accountable and responsible.
It is time for a trial case where the goverment is sued for millions because of the delay of a case.
The court (probably after 20 years) can than draw a decission, and probably also hold lawyers accountable.
The also sit with their asses on hundreds if not thousands of cases per lawyer.
For each case they happily charge you RM 2000 or so as advance, for which they actually do nothing, other than dragging your case from postponement to postponement.
They intervals between postponements can be up to 6 months, unbelievable.

Now they show spots on TV to protect your intelectual property.
Don't make me laugh..... any infringement will take 10 years to be solved in court.
By that time your company is already dead and you might be a bankrubt.
So much for justice... do they know what the word means?

 Indonesia only? - by @lbert
  Posted:26/02/2005 - 08:59 - in category: general
The haze is back in full force....
Indonesia's Sumatera is in thick clouds again and noone does anything as usual.
Look at foto's from Pekan Baru (Sumatera) in Jakarta Post. Sick sick.
But is it Indonesia alone? Forget it....
Malaysia is doing its bit in full force.
Around KL many peat fires are razing because of fiddling with ground water levels, here up north we keep on burning the paddi field, sugar cane and others. Not allowed yes, but who cares..... in this country you make no laws to enforce them, laws are only enforced on opposition members of parliament and opposition parties.
This total neglect for the environment in Malaysia is really getting worse and worse, and is there any change? Maybe by mouth but in reality nothing.
God beware the future generations who inherit a plundered and destroyed environment!
The whole club of MB's and developpers is meanwhile busy filling up their pockets.

The new hub..... - by @lbert
  Posted:23/02/2005 - 18:35 - in category: general
The new hub to be build on KLIA will certainly hinder Air Asia in its development of no other measures are taken.
This is the usual push it through your throat mentality of this goverment.
If there is no cheaper transportation to KLIA and no cheaper charges, you will have a crazy situation.
Sample: i buy a ticket from Penang to KL and KL to Penang because i got a meeting there.
I buy in advance, so ticket price up and down totals RM 100 with Air Asia.
On top of that i pay taxi in penang 2x, airport tax, train to KL up and down
This last portion adds up to:
2x 15-(taxi) + 40-(tax) +70-(train) that is 140- !!
40% more than the ticket for the whole stretch. The ticket is budget, but the rest is screw you!
And i think airport tax in KLIA is higher than Penang.
Budget..... where......

One hour with the PM - by @lbert
  Posted:23/02/2005 - 09:15 - in category: politics Malaysia
Last night i watched a whole hour tv......
But it was a big disappointment.
The interviewer did not have the guts to ask anything or if if the answer was vague keep on asking. The PM was saying nothing at all just that he was busy trying this and that and that.
Not a single word about all kind of pressing matter, not a single difficult question. All polished and as harmless as possible.
Thats having an hour interview with the PM in Malaysia. Any other country would have roasted his PM....and insisted on proper answers!

Subang the LCC hub? - by @lbert
  Posted:21/02/2005 - 11:09 - in category: general
Reopen Subang as a hub for LCC?
Whatever the motives behind this reopening, the fact is that there is meanwhile a KLIA.
KLIA obsoleted Subang.
But KLIA was a political prestigious pet project of dr M. Hundreds of cronies have filled their pockets on the KLIA project.
Result .... all prices on this airport are totally ridiculous.
Airport tax ridiculous. And what did they create? A piece of steel with no warmth.
To my idea Subang was having an atmosphere, KLIA is nothing, just steel and glitter.
You walk your guts out from A to B and sign boards are so abundant and contradicting that i get confused when i have to switch from international to national.
Transportation to and from KLIA is at a ridiculous charge!
RM 70- for a trip to KLIA up and down is outragious, so is RM 100- for a taxi.
But again some cronie companies can fill up their pockets.
A bus ticket KL-Penang is only RM 25-.
They want to make KLIA a LCC hub too, well make sure there is cheap alternative transportation available.
To good old Subang you could get a taxi for around RM 15-20.
If KLIA wants to survive it needs a cheaper connection to KL.
Prices on the airport should be affordable. KLIA should serve the public not the cronies and goverment cq the ridiculous Malaysia boleh consept.

Kyoto treaty and a moron called Bush - by @lbert
  Posted:15/02/2005 - 09:24 - in category: general
As far as i know this week the Kyoto treaty comes into effect.
For some countries. NOT for the americans their worst president ever, refused to sign the Kyoto protocol.
This is the biggest industrial nation in the world!!
The biggest polluter in this world, and the biggest energy gulper in this world.
Yet they refuse to make a step backward to SAVE THIS WORLD from global warming.
Of course they will call it anti-americanism and america bashing.
Well i feel sorry to say, the american goverment IS a bunch of cowards and brainless morons.
They give a shit about the environment, the absolutely dont care about the rest of the world,
They only care about themselves, themselves and thenselves.
What an egocentric bunch of morons. The average american knows absolutely nothing about the rest of the world.
Yet we have seasons going haywire because of the americans poluting OUR world.
Flooding, extreme cold, extreme heat you name it, and yet they still do not want to see that the world is changing so fast that even a schoolkid can see the difference.
It is high time we start boycotting the $$$ and the american goods as long as this country does not want to play a proper role in fighting global warming.
Do your bit ..... they are slowly killing you too!
Yes you Malaysians you think you are spared? Look at the weather patterns.

 Bow-tie again - by @lbert
  Posted:06/02/2005 - 19:09 - in category: politics Malaysia
Malaysia's bow tie minister of RTM complained that he is not the RTM minister and that private radio/tv stations completely ignore him.
Firstly , why do private radio/tv stations have to showup whenever a minister wants publicity?
Thats the proregative of the station isn't it?
The goverment has RTM 1/2 to blow all their propaganda.
Secondly has the bow-tie minister ever said anything sensable in his carier? So far i have only heard things noone gives a damn about.
Even Samy Vellu cannot change that.
Besides that what would the minister like to be called? Shall we say ex-minister? Thats a perfect title.

Proton to big to go down? - by @lbert
  Posted:05/02/2005 - 11:15 - in category: politics Malaysia
The lastest boardroom tustle with the Tun involved (again) proves that he is still meddling in the countries affairs.
Well of all the grandeur dr M used to launch Malaysia's own steel, cement and car only the car remains, the rest has cost the country billions.
Proton is overly protected and still after so many years not capable of making a car of international class.
First of all they have been cheated probably for years by the Japanese, well you gotta look east. Secondly the never developped anything proper in house besides crappy plastic cars.
Everything goes kaput or falls of after a few years. Open up a head lamp and look at the construction inside, even an 8 year old boy can do the job better.
But thats besides the point.
If Proton cannot prove itself, cannot compete at all, well than give up on it, you cannot protect this holy cow forever.
Yes but 500.000 jobs are linked to it........well than Malaysia is going to need 500.000 Indonesian workers less. Thats also several billion a year staying in the country instead of going abroad.
Proton will not now, and not ever be able to produce something that can be sold abroad if there isn't a complete mentality overhaul, and the old generation is completely removed from the system. The Tun already has a pension he does not need the job, and he is not up to it either.

 Tsunami aid.... - by @lbert
  Posted:02/02/2005 - 23:17 - in category: politics Malaysia
I am really surprised.... every night i see tsunami aid from malaysia going to muslim villages, muslim schools and so on.
Are there no non-muslims in Thailand and Sri Lanka? Isn't the money given by muslims and non-muslims the like?
And why do i have to see these sickening VIP's everyday handing out all kinds of aid, do they all really need the political milage out of distributing aid? I call it SICK!
Humanitairian aid is helping humans, irrespective of race or religion, but that seems to be impossible in Malaysia.
The victims are so many and the situation is so bad, cant we leave religion out of it?
Why noone opens his mouth and says something?

Economics and Jawi - by @lbert
  Posted:01/02/2005 - 12:49 - in category: general
Just read that Anwar was invited to the prestigeous meeting in Davos.
He was speaking there at a dinner function, which was skipped by Najib who was also attending.
How small and narrow minded can you be, this is the countries dpm!
He has really shown statesmanship! Definitely not fit for the job....
Than the stupid ringgit peg, the dollar keeps going lower and lower, the euro is this year expected to hit the 150-160 mark.
But Dr Zetti maintains the pegging, all imports now are already 20-25% to expensive!
Mind you, you pay one quarter to much, this all for the sake of a cheap ringgit?
No this is abuse of power, the people of Malaysia are short changed for the sake of a goverment that is short of money and wants to protect their stupid cronie companies!
Let go.... if those companies cannot compete in a normal way, so be it, let them go bust!
Malaysia can survive without Proton, Perwaja and many of the likes.
Better now kaput than lateron with a double or more deficit.

Than my view on the raid by the religious police on night spots in KL.
The KGB style police is made up of lunatics, not only in KL but everywhere.
They think that the power vested in them gives them the right to do as they please.
Comments on this that it is a thing for Muslims only i find untrue.
This affects non-muslims as well.
The moderate muslims are the last protection for non-muslims against the talibans.
If the moderate muslims surrender to the wishes of the Talibanasian KGB there is nothing that will keep them in bound.
The will turn more power hungry and want more power.
I thought this nation wants to be developped by 2020, and than they have a police that is KGB style!
Someone (anonymous) tells there is something going on somewhere and the will raid the place with 20 or more people!
Even here in the kampung they find it necessairy to raid a kampung house with 10-15 people, just because somewhere a neighbour who hates you made an anonymous call!
Than besides that they overstep their powers everytime. They have NO right to enter a house unless accompanied by police, neither do they have the right to make arrests.
Let Malaysia be Malaysia and not be turned into Talibanasia, do something before it's to late.
