Leo Mogie ...Hahaha - by @lbert
  Posted:30/09/2003 - 14:16 - in category: politics Malaysia
Leo Mogie anounced today that Malaysian companies and services should achieve world recognition.
This is a big laugh....
First of all non of the big companies in Malaysia will ever reach world recognition as long as they think that customers are pieces of shit that will do as you tell them.
Malaysian companies are only in the game for money and not there to give service, or give a quality product.
Secondly as long as ministers and high ranking officials don't rise above their own 3rd world mentality, how do you want others to achieve something.
All these people cannot take any critisism or remarks, they are all infallable and dont make mistakes.
As long as they are in the goverment to enrich friends and family and act like god, what to expect of the rest???

Leo Mogie, change the country start with yourself.

AND DONT MERGE JARING WITH TM NET.
Two shit companies is always better than 1!!

 Jaring/Telekom/Maxis and other ###holes - by @lbert
  Posted:26/09/2003 - 20:40 - in category: internet / computers
Telekom takes over Jaring.
Maxis stopped its dial up service.
So we have a monopoly again in Telekom hands. Long live Leo Mogie, brainless toothless and stupid. Forget about getting any price reductions in dial-up.
Alternative? NONE. Time net?? whats that anyone using their service??
And the whole of Malaysia keep quiet. When do Malaysians finally learn to open their mouth? Every time the big boys can cheat the common people and nothing is done.
Dont expect anything from the PM he is playing post pigeon, going abroad to find out which country still want to hear his talks.
He already made himself an idiot again with his Merdeka day speech in which he again condemned gays.
Still needing justification for your Anwar case dr M? Well end next month you disappear into history for good. And thats a relieve.
But the replacement..... dont make me laugh.
And as i said no Malaysian ever opens his mouth with a few exceptions.
People are 2 years under ISA without ANY proper trial or charge, and than Ahmad Badawi has the guts to extend it with another 2 years.
The is a scandal that thrashes every human right!!.
And no Malaysian opens up his mouth.
An insurance company can throw you out without reason on a noncense excuse and they think they go scotfree.... Any all the policy holders say nothing, just keep quiet. Malaysian don't protest.
Monopolies can raise prices, do shoddy work and you name it, Malaysians dont protest, they keep quiet and grumble at home.
WHEN DO YOU LEARN TO OPEN YOUR MOUTH?
Well every country gets the goverment it deserves..... it still seems to be true....

 Thailand part2 - by @lbert
  Posted:22/09/2003 - 18:29 - in category: travel abroad
One of the things that struck me most during my trip all over Thailand is that it is clean, really clean. I visited lots of wet markets and they are amazingly clean, even with lots of people, up to the smallest kampong in the most ulu places.
And compared to Laos noone will try to cheat you, of course for tourist souvernirs you gotta bargain.
Roads are a joy! No potholes nowhere!
The only thing that makes it more expensive is prices for petrol and especially diesel wich is around 14 baht (RM 1.28) compared to 0,72 here. Roads are quiet outside the cities and thats nice if you have to travel the distances there. Distances are huge in Thailand, i travelled 6.500 km during my trip.
Landscape is beautifull especially in the north and small villages offer surprises every time.
Old wooden teak houses, beautifull wats and chedi's.
Nightmarkets are an adventure and food is really cheap (RM 2-3 for an ordinairy meal)
Hope to make another trip there, but than go to Poi Pet and visit Cambodja as well.

 Chin Peng - by @lbert
  Posted:20/09/2003 - 18:22 - in category: politics Malaysia
Before i give any further story on my trip in Thailand, I want to comment on the release of Chin Peng's book My Site of the Story.
First of all it is pathetic that after so many years of the end of the communist problem the goverment sees fit to seize copies of the book.
Or is it because they want to hide the reasons why they never allowed the communists to integrate in the political system of Malaysia. This would probably have given Malaysia a much wider political spectrum, whether you like the communists or not.
Furthermore to refuse Chin Peng permission to visit Malaysia for launching his book is even more narrow minded if not super pathetic.
There must be something to hide, why otherwise act like this.
The communist insurgeon had formed Malaysia and is part of its history, but it is history, so time is ripe for an evoluation of things.
But it seems Malaysian will have to order their copy in Singapore! Malaysia boleh!

Returning home from a nice trip through Thailand and Laos i heard that Jaring is being taken over by TM Nut. This is very disturbing and kills the last competition in internet service in Malaysia, if there ever was any..
Good for the competition say Leo Mogie...mmm does he have any brains?
About my trip through Thailand:
Recovery in Thailand is clearly visible, and much more substantial than in Malaysia, sorry for bolehland.
Roads are fantastic and NO TOLL ANYWHERE!!
Money is spend on infrastructure everywhere and not on nonsence projects like in Malaysia.
Laos on the other hand is a disaster, i actually dont understand why this silly country in an ASEAN member. It is just as rotten as east germany used to be. Corrupt like hell and nothing moves, an exchange rate that cheats you for 50%+ and in Vientiane you get cheated for everything if you dont ask the price first. Even a bottle of Coke in the market, ask the price first otherwise they charge double. Really annoying.
This happens nowhere in Thailand, and hotels and food are still really cheap except for beach areas in the south and Hua Hin area.
All spoiled and damned expensive.
Cieng Mai is still lovely and cheap. I will put some of the best foto's up in the next few days.
In Malaysia nothing changed in 2 1/2 weeks politicians are still as small minded as ever.
Compare that to Thailand where they get fried!
