 Rape..... - by @lbert
  Posted:23/01/2004 - 21:20 - in category: general
I have read and heard plenty about all the sensationalized rape cases in this country.
Than you get rubbish stories about woman have to cover their aura and all the other hypocrit remarks.
The last cases were concerning children, any aura there?
I come from a country where the sales of porno is completely free (except child porno)
This kind of rape cases in europe with a few exceptions hardly exist and are unheard of, especially in the northern european countries.
To my idea a great help to this was that pornography is free, and prostitution is not condemned as it is in this country.
Porno and prostitution really can function as an 'exhaust' for people with sexual frustrations.
At least they have an outlet, and dont have to resort to 'funny' things.
If everything is not allowed and even worse the subject avoided like a plague, nothing will ever change.
The number of rape/incest cases in Malaysia are ridiculous high compared to other countries.
The present situation will never change anything.
Dont come up with stories like porno is no part of our culture, because it no where is, but at least elsewhere it is accepted.
The same goes for transvestites, they always have existed so why should they be condemned? It is the life they choose, so what gives us the right to condemn it?
And it strikes me that most of the above mentioned case allways happen in 'certain' areas of the country (i dont have to name them)

Wishing all a prosperous year of the monkey.
In good health.

1945 the year worldwar II ended, also a year of the monkey!

What has the monkey seen in those 60 years??

A world where developped nations reached their limits.
Developped nations should finally accept that trees dont grow to heaven, and that are is an end to growth.
Time to consolidate and start cleaning up your act, especially the US the world's biggest polluter.
Grow, grow, grow and pass to the future generation all the polution.
That is american thinking.
Furthermore in a democratic world we do not need Americans policing the world!
We created the United Nations to do so.
And after 40+ years since the last war in the middle east is is high time there comes an end to the conflicts.
And again its the Americans that everytime give Israel leeway to do as they please.
All this sueside bommings and all other fighting won't stop as long as the Americans keep on supporting Israel without reason.
The Israeli's also should understand that their country was created in 1948 by the UN.
Borders were set by the UN and Israel has no right, not now not ever to change these.
The conflict stops when the palestine people finally see a future.

And for the developping world, clean up your act as well, don't fall in the polution trap in favour of growth.
You will have to pay through your nose afterwards.
Clean up corruption, and create a justice that is real justice.
And for Malaysia a clean goverment, where all the chaebols that think they run the country are cleaned up.

 Voter Registration - by @lbert
  Posted:15/01/2004 - 23:01 - in category: politics Malaysia
Voter registration a almost herculan task in Malaysia.
Why for the simple reason that there is no proper citizen registration.
Voter registration is an unheard thing in Europe, it is done automatically.
Plenty of countries have no identity cards and still manage to automatically register voters.
Is this inpossible in Malaysia, I don't think so.
But than personal registration should be moved out of the police task and handed over to Pejabat Daerah or townhall.
Every person that is residing outside the area/town where he is registered for more than 6 month or residing more than half the time in another area/town, should be forced by law to register in the other area/town.
Omission should be punishable by law.
Than what will be achieved??
-All the persons data will be at the new registration office as all data have been forwarded from the old registration office.
-Offences can be traced to a proper persons address.
-Tax office has no problem tracing people.
-Deceased people can be stricken off easily.
-Birthcerts and so on can be obtained easily.
-Voter registration can be automatically. Just send the person his registration card on his birthday (when he reaches voting age)

It is an exercise that does not have to cost a lot.
Police is released of a task which is not policing.
Just my 2 sen.....
But Malaysia probably will create a commission first and than push it through in the wrong way, recall it and change it again.
So maybe it works by 2020...

 Super stores - by @lbert
  Posted:13/01/2004 - 16:25 - in category: general
Wow are we cheap.....
Who? TESCO.
Last sunday i was is their store in Sungai Petani and noticed that the where selling whole chicken for 5.90 per kg.
Well today by accident i was at the department of Hak Ehwal Penguna in Alor Setar and checked the maximum price for undressed chicken.
It says 4.95 / kg for chicken with leggs head keel and liver/hart.
The chicken in Tesco was not having a head and leggs so i assume no hart/liver either.
If an average chicken weights about 1.7-1.8 kg it means TESCO is charging you anywhere between 1.71 and 1.62 for not giving you hard legss and so on.
May i call this big time cheating??
With head and all 1.8 x 4,95 = 8.91
Without head and all 1.6 x 5.90 = 9.44. (count 200 gr for head/leggs)
And the hart/liver and the leggs Tesco sells seperately for a nice amount of money
Our pasar in the kampung is cheaper, 4.75/kg for undressed chicken.
Long live the so called super cheap superstores.... all rubish.
Oh... and dont look for the price of assorted pieces of chicken like paha/dadah you will faint.
But its a thing i noticed in all super stores, they are hardly competitive, their prices are sky high with exception of a few things to drag you in.
Once the spider got you in his web, your finished.
Many items in all those superstores are sometimes even cheaper in our kedai kampung.
These people are really making giant profits on the back of the average consumer.
And consumer organisations? Where are they?
Look in Europe where you can find weekly statistics of a fixed shopping list and its prices in the various supermarkets.
Here they advertise wich Item XXX only this week RM ?? or RM **
But forget to fill in the price, or they offer a limited stock against a special price, and when you come (at 10 in the morning) the thing is sold out or 'did not yet arrive'.
You complain to the management, useless they just tell you to go to hell.
Consumer rights and consumer organisations have a giant task ahead.

 Economic Freedom.... - by @lbert
  Posted:10/01/2004 - 11:54 - in category: politics Malaysia
Malaysia showed again Malaysia Boleh!
I went from mostly-free to mostly-unfree, or better said it dropped to number 75 on the scale.
The 1/2/3 are Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia/New Zealand.

Thailand went from from 46th to 27th place that is 19 places up.
And Malaysia from 45th to 75th. Well done Malaysia.
Malaysia is now a mostly unfree economy.
In 1995 Malaysia was 18th!

Details are here.
Hello Rafidah.... are you there??
Where is your big mouth now??

Well you can already tell what Malaysia's ministers will say.
"See, the are trying to recolonialise Malaysia again."
"Allways unfair remarks about Malaysia simply because they are jaleous on our success"

Wait for the crap to show in the newspapers
A good comment is here.
Its from the oposition i know, but i read them too.

 Rafidah.......who's next? - by @lbert
  Posted:09/01/2004 - 17:58 - in category: politics Malaysia
"I am a professional too and I receive a lot of political pressure for AP (approved permits) and quotas but thank God I have been firmed on who deserves and who does not."

That was heard from her mouth.
She who enriched all her family members.

May I say that it stinks over there?
This is not stinking its even worse than all the pollution of woodchip burning factories in Sungai Petani in one year.

When will she be reshuffeled??
I think everybody is fed up with this corrupt, always nonsence talking woman.
Give her a job in a boutique!
This is to terrible for further comments.

The peg remains...... - by @lbert
  Posted:07/01/2004 - 20:54 - in category: politics Malaysia
That is what has been told over and over again.
By (mis)using the currency peg the tun has manouvered Malayasia in a situation where there is no way back anymore.
Why you ask??
1. The whole of Malaysia is soaked in loans due to a to cheap loan regime.
This is true for private loans as well as corporate loans. They push them through your throat.
2. Corporations dont feel the need for innovation and or change.
Loans are so cheap, just pay the interest and thats it.
And innovation is unheard of in Malaysia, with very few exceptions.
3. The tun allowed salaries to spiral way out of control.
4. Goverment spending is already for years way out of control.

Result now:
Malaysia is totally uncompetitive when the pegging disappears.
The ringgit is undervalued by as much as 15-20%. Don't believe it??
Just compare the cost of living in Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia.
Letting the peg go means a total collaps of export oriented industries.
A more than total collaps for inefficient companies which only survive on loans.
(Perwaja and pick any other)
NPL's will go sky-high, the real estate market will collaps.
An agriculture sector that is 2.5 up to 3 times as exepensive as neighbouring countries.

Already now there are to many white elephants around.
What about the Multimedia Super Corridor and others...
The flop of the century, all the high tech where is it??

But can Malaysia maintain the pegging?
No they cannot, they are not the US who can export their internal problems abroad.
The US already for numerous years has been exporting its financial shit to the rest of the world.
And Malaysia pegs its currency to that currency, instead of a basket.
The dollar is slowly sinking and sinking, so... so does the Ringgit!
They are now expecting $ 1.35 to 1 euro, that means the ringgit together with the dollar went down almost 40% against the Euro.

So expect your imported cars to go up another 10-15%.
Even Potong with have to raise prices.
All imports from europe and euro linked countries will go up 20%
at least. This will push inflation again.

Malaysia's tun thought he could export Malaysia out of all the troubles he created.
He abviously could not, and only delayed the destruction process.
You say my views are to bleak??
You say huh....Malaysia is doing so well
Yes outer shine on borrowed money.

Well time will learn, but i got the bad feeling that i will be proven right.

Minister of Bow Tie - by @lbert
  Posted:05/01/2004 - 13:06 - in category: politics Malaysia
Abdul Kadir Sheikh Fadzir, man are you getting irritating.
Can you never keep your big mouth shut?
I thought you were a minister of tourism?
Why do you have to comment on things that are not part of you ministry?
Why cant you do your job seriously?
Besides a racist you are brainless as well
Go and plant jagung!

I am glad we have Air-Asia and are not always screwed with MAS's rediculous ticket prices.
Sample:
Penang-Jakarta (Please bear in mind MAS is co-sharing with Garuda)
Whatever ticket I take, MAS/Garuda and so on (even Lion Air) ticket price for me to go to Yogya from Penang is around RM 1300.- ++
More than a ticket to Hong-Kong.
If i go to Medan, from Penang (by ferry because flying price is more than Penang-KL) and take a flight to Yogya from Medan, the total cost is 720 Ringgit up and down.
Add the ferry RM 170- and i save 300++ ringgit or 30% +, that is Malaysia boleh Sheikh Fadzir!
That is screwing people.

Tok guru did it again.... - by @lbert
  Posted:04/01/2004 - 22:24 - in category: politics Malaysia
With amusement i watched the evening news.
Elections are comming and Tok Guru did it again.
Wow RTM found even a footage that prooved he said what he said.
Well I cannot be bothered what the Kelantanese has to say... it is never worth even paying attention to.
But what I dont understand that UMNO is so stupid to pay attention to it everytime. Over and over again.
They only give this man free advertisement on TV. When are they finally getting so clever as to ignore all the utter nonsence of these PAS people?
Ignore, ignore and ignore, and no comment at all, that is the way to fight them. They will kill themselves when ignored.
But all those big shots in Umno with their big mouthes never seem to learn. People have to hear their stupid remarks over and over too.
They are no better.....
Well who's to blame is Kedah and Perlis go under PAS in the next elections?

 2004....... - by @lbert
  Posted:01/01/2004 - 12:22 - in category: general
I like to wish everybody a prosperous 2004 in good health.
I came back with a severe flue from abroad and am still trying to get over it.
I spend the old-years eve by switching of the tv for half the time, because i have never in my life seen such a bad screening as the stupid kl-cc party on tv.
Multi colored malaysia?? My you know what...
Asif there are only malays in this country, and further more looks like the whole production was for the glory of all the vip's being around instead of the amusement of the public.
The shots of the public only showed malay faces... no indian, no chinese, where were they?
Well another expose of multi racial malaysia on tv , so was the show from pankor.
It was a terrible tv evening, luckily we still have vcd haram....
