As promissed some pics i took.
The first one is from the canals of 's Hertogenbosch, the second one is a windmill and view of Heusden an beautifull restored old village.
The 3rd picture is the interior of a cheese shop in Almere. And the 4th picture is of course tulips in the bulb fields of Hillegom.

I am presently in 's Hertogenbosch, a very old town in the south of the Netherlands.
It is notonly canals in Amsterdam. This city also has beautifull canals, that date back hundreds of years, many are beautifully restored and can be seen by small boat as they run under houses, streets and even squares.
I will post some pictures tomorrow when i have access to broadband and a picture editor.
Ringgit pain still remains, every thing is so bloody expensive due to the low us$ and even lousier RM.
Its amazing that i can find Indonesian Kacang Atom (Rp 5000) selling for almost € 5.00.
Where Rp 5000- is around € 0,40.
Today is the birthday of RMS (Republic of free Maluku) and plenty of people of Indo origine are having a demo here in front of the Indonesian embassy in the Hague.
I have been lucky enjoying great weather for days, really sunny.
Tomorrow will show windmills tulips and canals...

Malaysia makes people laugh - by @lbert
  Posted:19/04/2005 - 20:44 - in category: religion
I showed the comment by the pm that bibles in bahasa could circulate but should be stamped NOT FOR MUSLIMS. The biggest laugh.
This is so ridiculous that one has no words and only can laugh. Same as stamping Education Not Allowed..... is a muslim not allowed to learn anything about Christianity?
Wasn't it the big M screaming that the western world should understand the muslims?
Well the otherway round is not needed it seems.
Also showed some online newspapers to the people they all laugh and say how can people read such rubbish.....
Well go on i would say Malaysia boleh!

Services....
I went to the postoffice ...wow... no queue, i was on in 5 seconds. Went to the bank, surprise no queue at all, its like a service station, no queues at all, just a hostess to receive you.
The rest of the banking is all done by machine + noone uses cheques. Thats a relieve.
Still in everything the Ringgit pain is there.
It is so damned expensive if you multiply every € with 5.
Really high time the reinggit gets unpegged, this is daylight robbery in order to save an already bankrubt system.
Go abroad a feel it yourself... Malaysia boleh!
Well you starve in no time......

 Petrol prices - by @lbert
  Posted:08/04/2005 - 05:45 - in category: general
If you think diesel and pertrol are expensive in Malaysia or Thailand....
Here in europe now the diesel is going for 0,95 Euro and petrol for around 1.30 euro.
Enjoy the party ... that is RM 4.50 for diesel per litre and 6.50 per litre for petrol.
Wanne full tank wow.....RM 300- for a full tank, enjoy the party. And the prices are going up again. They expect 1.60 soon for petrol.
It drives me nuts when i multiply every price x5 to get a RM value. High time to let the stupid pegging go, the Ringgit is degraded to toilet paper, no value at all.
I dont have a million + in a suitcase like some Malaysians. I bought a hering today wow it set me back 1.5 euro, thats RM 7.50 for 1 ikan kembong!

A few general info things.
Minimum wage now around € 800.-
Yes thats RM 4000.- a month.
Expensive things....
Pringles i thought they were bloody expensive in Malaysia at RM 4++ (imported from Belgium) , well forget it here they are € 1.15 or so (almost RM 6.00)
A small lettuce € 0.90 = RM 4.50 even 2 kilo's of potatoes is this potatoe country cost € 0.90.
Thats RM 2.25 a kilo.
Still extending my supermarket therapy.
Oh bottle of water (1 l) at petrol station... RM 5++

I arrived back home in Holland empty handed because MAS did not load my luggage on board.
Nice no suitcase no shirt no nothing.
Well at least the weather was nice.........
And lots have changed since i was here the last time, but especially the prices. Wow what used to cost 1 guilder now costs 1 €!
Thats 2.2 times and with the decline of the ringgit everything is now 5x as expensive for me.
But surprisingly things like yoghurt, chocolat milk did not change a sen in price over all those years.
I have to extend my supermarket shock further, i have not yet checked all of it.
I let you know later.
But now you realize how cheap is malaysia/indonesia/thailand!
