All ok in Bolehland? - by @lbert
  Posted:25/09/2008 - 19:16 - in category: politics Malaysia
Due to Malaysian politics, red tape and the rest FDI OUTFLOW has increased by 81.9%.
That is a horrible figure.
Not even included here are local companies that are slowly moving their operations outside Malaysia for the same reason.
Inflation is at its higher in 20+ years 8.9% they say so probably is it way over 13%.
The Ringgit sinks even lower on a sinking US$.
The 'rich' are more and more frequenting hawker stalls. Upper class places are empty.
All does not well for Malaysia, and it takes only a few more things and the bubble will burst.
And when the bubble bursts, remember CASH IS KING! If not emperor...

 Raya rush... - by @lbert
  Posted:25/09/2008 - 12:01 - in category: general
The raya rush starts again, and the mad house blues to race to the kampung as well.
Hundreds will loose their lives again!
For what? Gaining 15 or 20 minutes.....idiots!

You want to die fast, keep in mind:
Roadsigns are only there for decoration.
Speed limits indicate the minimum speed.
Double lines are there to cross, especially in sharp corners.
Do not stop on the way, its a waste of time, just race on.
Do not check your tires and engine, also a waste of time.
Do not use your safety binders (belts).

If you do like the above do not take an innocent person along in your suicidal attempts!

For the 'commoner' drive safely, half an hour earlier or later makes no difference.
Better half an hour late than 5 feet under!

 A thought... - by @lbert
  Posted:23/09/2008 - 20:34 - in category: politics Malaysia
When Raja Petra's lockup in Kamunting was announced, a poem by Pastor Martin Niemller (1892-1984) came to mind:

When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.

When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.

When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.

When they came for the Jews,
I remained silent;
I wasn't a Jew.

When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out
.

This poem by Niemller is very famous in Europe because of a lot of neglect in helping Jews during the Nazi period.

It is also quoted on Jeff Ooi's website.

My raya favourite... - by @lbert
  Posted:23/09/2008 - 17:29 - in category: food
In Kedah not many make it often.....
My all time raya favourite is Rendang Basah.
I was a few times in Indonesia during Raya Korban, where my friend's mother cooked a delicous rendang basah, mouth watering!
In Kedah they mostly make the rendang almost dry which i do not like that much.
I got friends in KL they also make a gordious hot and spicy rendang Basah.
Hope I find some during Raya......

 Shitty Telekom - by @lbert
  Posted:23/09/2008 - 13:14 - in category: general
After 3 month i still do not have telephone and internet reinstalled.
The treatment of Telekom is less than a third world company. They tell lies and nonsense in order to keep people quiet.
Now they say 'sorry we cannot tell when things will be restored' !
Well after Raya i am gonna take them to the Consumer Tribunal, i had it with them and their monopoly.
I will sue them for breach of contract, the send bills but do not provide the service they charge.
Telekom is really the most terrible 3rd world company in Malaysia. Service is non existing, they only care about $$$!

 Internet freedom? My a$$ - by @lbert
  Posted:23/09/2008 - 13:08 - in category: internet / computers
The gereatric patient in home affairs today signed a detention order for RPK for 2 years.
This is scandalous, and a breach of the promised freedom on the internet.
He should be trialed in a normal court, if he did something wrong.
But it seems that Abdullah & Co piss in their pants for RPK (especially the DPM).
It also seems that this country has a PM that is blind and deaf.
He does not see what is wrong and does not hear the wishes of the people. They only care about their party and personal gain.
Sick, sick, sick.
I only can hope that if there is a change of government, that the gereatric patient in home affairs will be send to Kamunting for 2 years to enjoy the gordious food there.
If it goes like it is now, a lot of bloggers will enjoy a short stay in some police station as a form of intimidation.

 Raya profitering. - by @lbert
  Posted:21/09/2008 - 19:35 - in category: consumer affairs
De big boys Tesco and Giant are both very good in Raya profetiring. Giant i even do not want to mention, they are nuts and bloody expensive with everything.
Tesco quickly raised the price of Tesco drinks from 1,65 to 2,15 for a bottle (start of Puasa) than after that lowered it to 1.95 .
Chicken and meat is all sold at the maximum allowed price, so are many other articles.
Than the Pasar buka Puasa are even more terrible! They say 'semua naik sikit', well i say 'naik banyak'. Astupid thing like air tebu went up from RM 1.00 to RM 1.50. Air nipah now up to RM 2.50. And foodstuff and kue all up by 20-50%..... moderate huh........
The daily pasar if even more ridiculous. Tomatoes RM 5 to 6.
Ordinairy bayam a whopping 6-7 a kilo, potatoes 2.50 a kilo. Yes all moderately raised, and as usual no prices displayed!
One thing i absolute do not understand is that during Raya Puasa prices go up, and during Chinese Newyear steep discounts are given.
I have noticed the above over many years now. Malays seem to accept all price increases, Chinese probably do not.
But the most irritating is the lack of enforcement of price tags! Now they look at you and quote a price...crazy!

All ok in bolehland? - by @lbert
  Posted:13/09/2008 - 10:14 - in category: politics Malaysia
RPK, Theresa Kok, a journalist all arrested under ISA by the gereatric patient that is running Home Affairs.
Good job....another Patakan vote puller.
Ringgit at its lowest since more than a year (3.44 against US$)
Pensioners are stolen blind by Bank Negara with the low FD rates (they loose 8%+ every year)
Inflation at its highest ever. (closer to 10 than 8%)
Figure fucking in full swing, in a last attempt to make people feel happy.
Decisions made and withdrawn in a wink, this is a desperate government where the leader does not even know what is going on!
High time for a big change and an end to corruption in the highest ranks.
Mahathir in and out of UMNO.............
YES everything is ok in Bolehland, dream on!
This country badly needs change or things are going worse and worse.

Ahmad: Why should I apologise? - by @lbert
  Posted:05/09/2008 - 17:13 - in category: politics Malaysia
Why you should apologise Mr Moron? Because you gravely insulted 35% of the Malaysian population!
Don't you understand that? If not go and see a doctor to find out whether your head contains any grey cells. You are an insult to Malaysia, I sincery hope this case wil end up in court to prove that justice exists in Malaysia.
UPDATE:
Ahmand now demands Chinese leaders to apologize! This guy should go into the history books and find out that the Malays are also immigrants into west Malaysia only a few hundred years earlier (Jawa, Sumatera)
And that the Bumiputra in W-Malaysia are the Orang Asli!
Remains the fact that this Ahmad is a moron, and should be removed from politics.
